The Traffic Management and Road Safety Directorate has made significant strides in professionalism and accountability under the leadership of Commissioner Abdul Moijueh. His administration has implemented various interagency partnerships aimed at improving the effectiveness and transparency of operations.

In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the Directorate collected over 113,166 Leones from traffic-related fines. These funds were immediately deposited into the national consolidated fund. Commissioner Moijueh emphasized that the Directorate’s enforcement operations focus on a wide range of violations, including driving without a license, operating unregistered vehicles, vehicle over-decoration, overloading, and reckless driving. Offenders are fined and required to provide proper documentation and receipts as part of the penalty process.

Highlighting the success of the Directorate’s towing operations, the Commissioner reported significant improvements in traffic management. During the month of March, the Directorate’s towing efforts played a crucial role in maintaining order on the roads. The efficiency of these operations has contributed to a marked reduction in road congestion and improved road safety.

The Commissioner’s leadership has been praised for driving these changes, marking a new era for the Traffic Management and Road Safety Directorate.
