Newly appointed Football Ambassador, Christian Dauda has said he believes the national team will qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Dauda was speaking to Epic Radio in his first radio interview since his appointment.

“I am hopeful we will go to the next Africa Cup of Nations In Morocco 2025, the bedrock for us is to develop our grassroots and youth football system. The scope of my job is wide but I am sure with the support of the Sierra Leone Football Association and the various personnel responsible to get the right structure,” Dauda said.

Dauda is the former Team Manager of the Leone Stars, he has been key in the last decade to recruit and convince players with Sierra Leonean origin in UK and other parts of the world to show up and represent Leone Stars.

Leone Stars who missed out on this year’s AFCON in Ivory Coast will hopefully begin their next campaign for the tournament in April this year. The 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in June and September respectively will also prove crucial in Leone Stars new reconstruction project.
