Epic Radio wins big at SLAJ Awards

The country’s leading station, Epic Radio won big at the SLAJ Media Awards last weekend, bringing home three awards from several categories.
General Manager and host of the Epic Morning Show, Mohamed Jaward Nyallay won two awards; Best Radio Presenter and Best Reporting on the June 24 Elections. Epic Radio won the award for the Best Emerging Radio station.
Nyallay said he is proud of what they have built at Epic Radio and dedicated the award to his team and listeners.
“I am extremely delighted and proud of what we have built at Epic Radio. What u are seeing is a product of hard work, determination and much more. I am happy we are getting the recognition form our peers. This is the most important award for me in my life and it is because am being judged by my peers, and that validation is important.”
Epic Radio was established in 2021, three years on it is now one of the leading stations in the country, with its high impact programs like the Epic Morning show, Epic Drive, Oldies Corner among many more.
This is the first award the station has won since its establishment and management has set its eyes to even raise the standard a little higher. Chief Executive Officer, Sebastian Okutu said the station will not rest on its laurels.
“We have set a very high standard and we will not drop the ball. We will continue to do more. This award just means more work for us in days and years to come.”
Epic Radio broadcasts on frequency modulation 99.3. The radio also runs a website and a serious digital footprint generally on social media.
