Old Edwardians End East End Lions Unbeaten Run

Old Edwardians FC has ended East End Lions’ 8-match unbeaten run with a 2-1 win at the SLFA Academy Field. James Jusu Kanja (26′) and Sammie Jimmy (82′) scored for the School Boys, while Emmanuel Innocent Uduk pulled one back for the Lions in the 90th minute.
Kanja’s strike takes his goal tally to 11, making him the current top scorer. East End Lions dominated possession and dictated the tempo but couldn’t convert chances, with Andrew Conteh and Issa Mansaray leading Old Edwardians’ solid defense.

The atmosphere shifted in the 90th minute as the Lions conceded late, silencing their noisy fans. Old Edwardians’ fans celebrated wildly as the School Boys secured a crucial win.
This victory cements Old Edwardians’ 3rd position with 41 points, while East End Lions face pressure to beat Star Sport Academy next. The Lions are now level on points with Mighty Blackpool on 31.
