SLCB to Disburse NLe66.7 Million in Dividends Following Strong Financial Year

The Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) has declared a total dividend payout of NLe66.7 million to its shareholders, following a strong financial performance in the past fiscal year.

The announcement was made during the bank’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), where it was revealed that the Government of Sierra Leone, as the majority shareholder, will receive NLe59.7 million. The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), another major stakeholder, will receive NLe7.2 million.

SLCB attributed the dividend disbursement to increased profitability, enhanced digital banking services, and stronger customer engagement. The bank cited prudent financial management and operational efficiency as key drivers behind the positive results.

Government officials and NASSIT representatives at the AGM praised the bank’s leadership for effective governance and sound financial stewardship. Both parties reaffirmed their continued support for SLCB’s strategic direction.

As one of Sierra Leone’s leading financial institutions, SLCB plays a vital role in supporting the national economy and remains a key contributor to the country’s financial sector development.
