S/L: Premier League clubs to get youth teams by next season

National Youth Football Coordinator at the Sierra Leone Football Association has said they are working on making sure all Premier League clubs in the country get a youth team.

Alimamy Kuraish Conteh made the revelation on Epic Sports whiles talking to Mohamed Toby Kargbo. Kuriash comments comes in the wake of series of losses by the youth teams across the region.

He said they will be investing some money in fixing a proper youth system for these clubs. “The Sierra Leone Football Association is trying to roll out a plan for all elite premier league clubs to benefit an additional $2000 to support their youth football system” Conteh said.

Grassroot football has struggled to attract funding for years but the new proposal could now see teams pay more attention to this. already teams like Luawa FC and FC Kallon are among the few elite clubs in the country leading the way in youth development.
