Epic Radio’s Mulku Bangura Honored by U.S. Alumni Association
Mulku Bangura, host of the widely followed Talk to Em program on Epic Radio 99.3 FM, has received a prestigious recognition award from the Sierra Leone United States Alumni Association (SLUSAA).
The award was presented during SLUSAA’s annual cocktail and awards ceremony held this week at the United States Embassy in Freetown. The event brought together U.S. exchange program alumni and partners in a celebration of civic engagement and leadership.
Bangura was honored for his “outstanding contributions to the work of the SLUSAA association,” and was also recognized for his broader role in national development—particularly for empowering young people through his media platform and community initiatives.
Speaking after receiving the award, Bangura expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting youth engagement and good governance in Sierra Leone.
The SLUSAA event is a flagship occasion for highlighting the achievements of alumni of various U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs, and for promoting continued collaboration between the United States and Sierra Leone in areas of education, leadership, and civic action.
