The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Timothy Musa Kabba, has pledged to donate an 86-inch television set and refurbish a lecture room for Mass Communication students, following a request from the Vice President of the Mass Communication Students Association, Aminata Kamara.

Kamara formally appealed for the provision of a DSTV decoder and a television set to enhance practical media training within the faculty. The minister responded positively, providing initial support toward the initiative and committing to further improvements to upgrade the department’s learning environment.

According to information from the association, the planned refurbishment will make the lecture room more conducive for teaching and learning, while the installation of a large-screen television is expected to give students access to live news broadcasts, international programming, and practical media analysis sessions.

Students within the faculty have welcomed the development, describing it as a boost to academic work and hands-on training in journalism and media studies.

The intervention underscores growing collaboration between public officials and educational institutions aimed at strengthening professional training and improving infrastructure in higher education.
