Sierra Leone Aquatics Inspects National Swimming Pool Facility

Representatives of Sierra Leone Aquatics on Thursday, 29 January 2026, conducted a comprehensive technical inspection of the National Swimming Pool Facility, following an official invitation from the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Sports.

The inspection team was led by the Head Coach and included technical officials, selected national swimmers, and the team medic. The exercise was aimed at assessing the progress of ongoing works and evaluating the facility’s readiness for training and competitive swimming.

During the inspection, key areas examined included the pool structure, water circulation and treatment systems, safety installations, and auxiliary facilities such as changing rooms and medical support areas.

According to officials, detailed technical observations and recommendations arising from the inspection will be formally submitted to the NSA and the Ministry of Sports to guide any necessary improvements before full utilization of the facility.

Sierra Leone Aquatics praised the collaborative efforts of the NSA and the Ministry of Sports, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the growth and development of aquatic sports across the country.
