Chernor Bah Named West Africa’s Best Minister of Information

Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, Honourable Chernor Bah, has been honoured with the title of West Africa’s Best Minister of Information by Afriqu Europe Magazine, marking a proud moment for the nation.
The award was formally presented to Minister Bah by Lokombe Nkalulu, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, and Abdoul Rahaman Bah, a distinguished investigative journalist, during an official ceremony that drew the attention of regional media and governance stakeholders.
According to the Africa Diaspora Journalists Network, which conducted the selection, Minister Bah was chosen for his visionary leadership, transparency, and commitment to civic engagement. His tenure at the Ministry has been characterized by open access to information, enhanced public communication, and initiatives that bridge the gap between government and citizens.
The recognition also reflects Sierra Leone’s steady progress in democratic governance and information transparency under Bah’s stewardship. Observers note that his policies have promoted credible dialogue, empowered communities, and strengthened public trust in national information systems.
