Epic Radio gives Le15million in prizes for Love Letter Competition

Epic Radio has given away Le15million in prizes to two winners of the just concluded Love Letter Competition. The competition which was organized by the radio to celebrate Valentine’s Day received more than forty submissions in a week.
Station Manager, Mohamed Jaward Nyallay said the initiative was meant to give opportunity to people to express themselves and what they feel about their partners.
“We wanted to create a platform where people can write what their partners mean to them, share crazy, funny and really inspirational moments with all of us. At the end of the day we get to know them a bit more,” Nyallay said.
“So far we are overwhelmed at the level of participation we got and we are even excited about doing this next year,” he added.
A total of 44 submissions were received in a week, and letters were read on air whiles listeners called to vote for them. The top 5 letters with the highest votes proceeded to the finals where people kept on voting until the winners were announced.
Margaret Lahai in her 20s won the competition with a heartfelt letter to her ‘Hero’, expressing how much she has changed her life. Bai Murray Conteh came second and won Le5million, whiles Margaret won Le10million in prize money. Sulaiman Bangura came third.
Margaret who has a son with her husband, say she will be starting some business with her winning.
All three winners invited their partners to a special dinner date on Saturday, were they enjoyed a good meal and collected their cheques after. The Epic Drive Team were also part of the experience and handed over the cheques to the winners.
