Musa Tombo is back!

By Mohamed Toby Kargbo

Musa Noah Kamara commonly known as Musa Tombo, is set to make his return back to the top flight league after a five months break.

Tombo has signed a deal with premier league giants, Port Authority Football Club. However, it is not clear how much this deal is worth or how long his contract will run for at his new club.

Team Manager of Ports Authority, Mohamed Ragga Bangura claimed that this is one of the biggest signings in Sierra Leone Premier League history during the unveiling of the player on Tuesday, January 9th.

“This is one of the most difficult deals the club has been involved in looking at the controversy surrounding the player over transfer issue. We are grateful to the Libyan club, Al Etihad for releasing the ITC (International Transfer Certificate) to the player. This was a difficult one because the agent was also involved and at a point, he almost terminated his contract with Musa,” Ragga told Epic Radio in an exclusive interview.

Tombo is one of the most prolific strikers in the country but he has struggled to reach his full potential, with one controversy over the other hitting the players career.

Tombo who has won three premier league titles with East End Lions and Bo Rangers combined, said he’s delighted to make his return back to the country’s top flight football following a long break on the sideline.

“Lots of clubs were after me but Ports Authority have a special place in my heart, giving that they are the only club that were able to negotiate my contract situation from Libya to get me playing back at home,” Tombo said during his unveiling on Tuesday.
