Bhantal FC Clinches 2nd in 2023/24 Leone Rock League
Newly promoted Bhantal FC secured 2nd place in the 2023/2024 Leone Rock Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Mighty Blackpool FC. Bhantal FC ended the season with 61 points, ahead of FC Kallon and others.
The team won two of their last three matches against Bo Rangers, FC Kallon, and Mighty Blackpool. Despite a 1-0 home defeat to Bo Rangers, they confirmed their second place with a stunning comeback win against FC Kallon at the newly inaugurated Approved School Field. After FC Kallon scored in the 46th minute, Mohamed Bangura equalized with a penalty in the 78th minute and secured the win with a brace in the 93rd minute, earning the Man of the Match award for his 12th goal of the season.
Bhantal FC’s impressive performance this season has set a high standard for newly promoted teams in the league, demonstrating that with determination and skill, they can compete with more established clubs. The team’s success has also garnered a growing fan base, eager to see what they will achieve in the next season.
