Nigerian National Arrested with Suspected Cocaine at Freetown International Airport

A Nigerian national was arrested at Freetown International Airport, Lungi, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, after authorities discovered suspected cocaine in his possession during a routine security check.

The suspect, identified as Charles Udon, holding passport number A13004643, was apprehended by joint security forces operating at the airport’s Central Search Area. During the search, 25 white-wrapped packages, which are believed to contain cocaine, were found hidden among his belongings.

Udon is currently in police custody and is said to be cooperating with investigators as they continue to probe the incident. Law enforcement officials have not disclosed further details about the investigation, but additional information is expected to be released as the case develops.
